ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE – 2 in one day in Ballydavid
Ballydavid is preparing to present its third St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It prides itself in being the shortest parade in the world. Following on from the success of last year the inimitable “Banna Cheoil an Atlantach Fian” are frantically rehearsing their repertoire of “Marching tunes” in preparation for the first and earliest parade in Europe starting at 00.01
The parade will take the arduous route from Tigh T.P. to Tigh Uí Bheaglaoigh.
Security for the Wild Atlantic Band will be provided by the “Ballydavid Piky Blinders” brandishing their turf lit pikes. The band is happy to welcome any like minded “Whistleblowers” to come an djoin the proceedings. There will be a second parade commencing at 4.00 pm outside the post office. Floats and vintage cars are welcome and particularly the children of the area. Fancy dress optional.
HOPE TO SEE YOU IN BALLYDAVID FOR A HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
